Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this site, whatever device or tools you browse with. Here’s where we are, in plain words.

The short version

  • The whole site works with a keyboard.
  • Text is real text: your browser can resize it, and screen readers can read it.
  • Colours are picked for strong contrast.
  • If your device asks for less motion, our animations stop.
  • Something hard to use? Tell us, and we’ll fix it or find another way.

What we’ve built in

  • Keyboard: every link, button, form and dialog works without a mouse, and a “Skip to content” link is the first thing the Tab key reaches.
  • Seeing where you are: whatever you focus gets a clear ring around it.
  • Text: headings are in order, images that matter have descriptions, and the text scales with your browser’s settings.
  • Colour: we check our text and background colours for contrast, and we never use colour alone to carry a meaning.
  • Motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, our animations and moving parts stay still.
  • Buttons: tap targets are sized for fingers, not just mouse pointers.
  • No JavaScript? The pages, forms and menus still work.

The standard we aim for

We measure this site against WCAG 2.2, level AA — the widely used accessibility guidelines for websites. We don’t claim we meet every point of it, but we check as we build, and we fix what we find.

If something doesn’t work for you

Tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way — send us a message from our contact page. We reply within one business day. If a page or a file of ours is hard for you to use, we’ll fix it, or get you the same information in a form that works for you.
